Our Ministry

The mission of DORLINDA Retreat Ministry is to provide a peaceful, comfortable, and affordable retreat to Servants of the Lord in their Christian ministry. We welcome these Servants who seek to refresh themselves before the Lord Jesus Christ, to grow and to continue in service for His Kingdom.

Accomodations

Visitors will stay in our guest house which sleeps up to 8. It has 1.5 baths, fully appointed kitchen, laundry, heat/air conditioning, printer, 2 TV's, satellite, Nintendo "Switch", and Wi-Fi. Most household needs are provided, including towels & linens, bedding, coffee, and many condiments. Guests need to bring perishable food and personal items.

Location and Activities

LOCATION: 3508 383rd St East, Roy, WA 98580. The Retreat is nestled in 20 wooded acres with a view of Mt. Rainier, inside a gated community of 4,400 acres. We are 1¼ hrs south of SeaTac International Airport (SEA), and are conveniently located near these South Puget Sound towns- Olympia, Tacoma, Puyallup, Eatonville, Graham, McKenna, and Yelm.

ACTIVITIES: Hiking on miles of trails, rivers and lakes, NW Trek Wildlife Park, Mount Rainier National Park, Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, America's Car Museum, Chihuly Bridge of Glass, Museum of Glass, Space Needle, Museum of Flight, Boeing Flight Center, Pacific Science Center, Pike Place Market, day trips to the Pacific Ocean.

SHOPPING: Gas and convenience store just 8 min away; grocery store and shopping center, 20 min.

Cost and Clean Up

$40.00 per night, payable on arrival. Only Cash, Checks (written to Bruce or Darmae Stalk), or Zelle.

Guests are expected to keep guest house tidy during stay, and to clean up prior to departure (such as wash used kitchen items; touch up stove counter-tops, table tops; sweep floors; empty trash/garbage).

DORLINDA is a privately owned home. This ministry is owned and operated by Darmae Melody and Bruce Stalk. We are not associated with Airbnb or VRBO; we are not a vacation rental. We reserve the right to refuse service and accommodations.
